Worked very well for us. We took them with us on an Alaskan cruise. In Juneau, it rained for 8 hours straight. No problems at all with the snaps. Kept us dry. We did not sweat underneath them, very breathable material. I did like the suggestion to wear a baseball cap underneath the hood. It worked well.
