We tell our customers that it is okay to put the chilly pad in the refrigerator... but we do advise against putting them in the freezer. Since the Chilly Pad®, Dana, and Sport material is loaded with water when in use, placing it in the freezer (following use) will cause it to freeze and become brittle.
