Place the pouches in areas where you notice signs of rodent activity, or where they’re most likely to enter, nest, or hide (such as basements, garages, storage areas, RVs, or farm equipment). For active infestations, start with more pouches in the affected area and replace them every 30 days or when the scent diminishes. For preventative use, one pouch per 8 square feet is usually sufficient, with replacements every 60–90 days. This helps ensure the aroma remains strong enough to deter rodents effectively.

The pouches are made from botanical ingredients that produce a smell that’s offensive to rodents but not to humans. We do just suggest keeping the pouches out of the chickens' reach. If there is air flow, we also suggest keeping your eye on the pouches, as you may need to replace them a little more often due to the air flow drying out the essential oils a little quicker than usual. Once the oils dry out and the scent is diminished, you would need to discard the old ones and replace with new ones. The pouches are fast-acting and will help keep mice out of the chicken coop. A: Hello Pen1. Once you take the pouch out of the box and remove the cellophane, place the entire pouch where your problem areas are. The pouch will look like 2 large tea bags attached together by the cardboard header. Do not remove the cardboard or cut the pouch in half. Please feel free to reach out should you have any questions.
