Q: Can this be attached to a cub cadet zero turn?

1 Answer
  • A: Hello, thank you for your question. Without knowing more information about your specific model it would be difficult to confirm compatibility. The Field Tuff 48 in. Sleeve Hitch Landscape Rake uses a sleeve hitch for installation. Generally speaking, zero-turn mowers typically do not use sleeve hitches. Sleeve hitches are more commonly found on lawn tractors or garden tractors, which are designed to use attachments like plows, cultivators, or other implements. Zero-turn mowers usually don't have the same rear hitch capabilities, as they focus on a zero-turn radius for tight turns and precise control.

Q: Would this work for clearing up logging debris? Not any actual logs, but the layers of splintered and broken wood left behind in the landing zone. Intent would be to rake layers of wood towards the burn area.

1 Answer
  • A: This rake doesn't have a handle to raise up to clear debris, so while it might get some of the pieces, it might not be as effective at getting all of the pieces left behind as a handled rake.

Q: Im looking to level some areas around my property Where is the weight for it to sink onto the ground I have atv i would like 3-6 inches deep raked will this work???

1 Answer
  • A: Landscape rakes are NOT made to sink into the ground 3-5”. Landscape rakes will level high spots if the ground is not too hard and collect debris, rocks, sticks or other. If the ground is soft enough you may penetrate the soil 1-2” but not to be confused as a disc or cultivator.

Q: I own a ranch and have a number of paddocks with cows in them. I would like to rake up or breakup the cow manure and plant seed for grassing. What tool do I need to purchase to pull behind my Polaris?

1 Answer
  • A: This product would not likely we strong enough for that application. We would recommend some sort of pull-behind tiller or harrow to turn over the soil and break up the manure to get the soil ready to accept new seed. Often customers will use a bobcat bulldozer or similar machinery to pull the top layer of soil and manure into a composting pile. Because manure is 80%-90% water, once this evaporates the manure can be spread throughout the pasture to enrich the soil.
