I have been using the 4250 incubator for 2 years now. Easy to use and great quality. Plus, the size of the incubator allows for a big hatch. Highly recommend.

Good incubator, have been purchasing this for years. Many bad reviews are not the product's fault, but the user's. This is a SCIENCE project, the user must monitor daily for success and have fertile eggs.

Very good hatch rate; very reliable product - this is my second hatching w/great success.

Disclosure: I went in with a lot of trust to the product and just gave it the leap as a first time incubation owner. This was used right out of the box after inspecting that it wasn't a return. I trusted all the readings, used only distilled water as directed, and used the given candler in addition to another. The Pros: The incubator was mostly stable in humidity and temperature. I trusted the readings and my eggs fluctuated all in the safe ranges. I would only add 3-4 tiny plungers of water 2x weekly. It was quiet and the automatic rotation was tracked for my device every 90 minutes. Being able to view the eggs have my family with Littles a lot of fun and we started peeping on Lockdown. With AUDIBLE answers from the chicks inside. Cons: The plugs for controlling humidity were used everyday. It's their purpose but felt like I was adjusting it at least 4 times a day. For our counter location we had to be cautious running the dishwasher as the humidity would spike. Both plugs out. I learned that during the hatch the humidity will get crazy with the wet babies drying. 94% humidity! I found that chicks will not be harmed if the humidity gets that high during the hatching, you just can't let it get LOW. The chicks thus never fluffed up with a half batch of eggs. They just stayed damp. I had 19/26 fertilized eggs hatch. I had 5 chicks fail to thrive after hatch, and they were all late hatchers at day 22-23. The last 2 never got beyond the pip. I am also adding that the provided candler gets HOT. It's not good for even 10 minutes as the heat spikes really intense. I ended up having to purchase a 2nd one that didn't emit heat. The provided candler brightness was great for darker and thicker shells but I had to stagger my candling because of that heat. Adding that cleaning after a hatch is delicate and tedious. Easy to damage the styrofoam. Wish the bottom had a plate or cover from the wells to proper clean for repeated use.
