Cats may be prescribed a Famciclovir Tablet, an antiviral medication that's administered orally. Famciclovir is effective at treating the symptoms of feline viral rhinotracheitis (FVR) as well as feline herpes virus (FHV), helping to improve your cat's condition. Famciclovir is prescription only and is sold by the tablet. Available in 125 mg, 250 mg and 500 mg strengths.How it Works

This prescription-only antiviral medication is a nucleoside analog DNA polymerase inhibitor. This drug works to prevent DNA reproduction of viruses, diminishing the ability of such viruses to spread throughout your cat's body.

  • Available in 125 mg, 250 mg and 500 mg strengths
  • Helps treat symptoms of feline viral rhinotracheitis (FVR) and feline herpes virus (FHV)
  • Targets infection associated with the feline herpesvirus
  • For use in cats only
  • Includes a single famciclovir tablet
  • Use caution in administering to cats on Probenecid, cats with renal dysfunction, or cats who are nursing.
  • Never administer to cats with penciclovir allergies.
  • Keep out of reach of animals and children.
  • Low-grade fever
