Q: The numbers on the rain gauge don’t correspond to inches. When we measured with a tape measure we got 8 inches of rain and the orange floaty was at 2.5. What are the numbers in rain gauge? It’s certainly not correct for inches.

Works great was super easy to get set up and reads accurately. More than likely will get another one or two since my father in law and dad want mine now. The big numbers are great to see from a distance.

Easy to read gauge

the wider "funnel" on top provides more accurate collection of precipitation. The area is about 4:1 hence the larger apparent scale. (Area of the funnel to area of the cylinder). So far happy.

Like? Nothing. Rain accumulates in the cup at top and doesn’t drop into the tube.
