EZ-On-Coat Roof Shingle Sealer extends the life of aged residential roof shingles and low-sloped mineral roll roofing by locking in granules and minimizing further granule loss. It also protects clay, concrete, and slate tiles from the sun, rain, wind, ice, and snow APPLICATION CLEAN Before applying, clean the roof with a leaf blower or broom to remove dust, dirt, and debris. Treat any algae or moss, and ensure the surface is completely dry for proper adhesion. PREP Carefully inspect area to be sealed. Repair all cracks, breaks, splits, and holes. Allow all repairs to form a skin and set up from 2-24 hours, depending on depth of repair sealant and weather conditions before applying sealer. APPLICATION Do not over apply. Mix sealer thoroughly. Sealer should only be applied to a roof in sound condition, which is clean, dry, frost-free, and fully prepared as described above. Sealer is an opaque white color while wet to aid in application and will dry clear when applied correctly. Apply sealer on a sunny day when roof is warm and dry to the touch. If the roof is too hot to touch, >140°F (>60°C), it is too hot to seal. PUMP SPRAYER (HUDSON SPRAYER) Best to use a clean garden pump sprayer for smooth application. Pump vigorously before and during use, set the nozzle to fan mode, test for flow, and apply evenly. ROLLER OR BRUSH Can use a 1/2" nap roller or soft-bristle paint brush is recommended. Evenly apply sealer in a single thin pass. STORAGE Keep in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep from freezing. CLEAN UP Before sealer dries, clean hands, tools, spillage, etc. with warm soapy water. If sealer has dried, clean hands with waterless hand cleaner. Soften the dried film on tools with mineral spirits, then scrape clean. When using mineral spirits, exercise safe practices.
