Unlike the previous reviewer, my expectations were achieved in my apartment bathroom. I read the description of the item and understood that this unit will effectively dehumidify a 1100 cubic feet which would be a 10x10x11 room, and it is small. The technology in this item is extremely quiet, and it does not have a compressor, so the rate at which it removes moisture is slower, but it also only takes 26 watts to operate, and it is basically silent. I guess that is the trade-off, I also understood how small it is, about the size of a football, and kept in mind it also only costs 69 bucks.

Don't be fooled. I feel bad for people trying to solve humidity problems in their rented apartments. I bought this to lower humidity from 70% to 50% or less, in a 375 sqft rental. I ran it 24/7 for days. I will not keep the humidity controlled. The pint-sized container took days to fill, about 3-4 days. So if it's only removing that much moisture from the air, it's not changing the humidity much. Remember that a human exhales 2 liters of water per day. This won't even suck up what you breathe out. So for that, it's a terrible value, and a waste of money. Unfortunately, you'll have to buy something $150+. That annoys me, because I feel like climate control like AC and dehumidification in a damp climate should come with rent. But every place I rent comes with a few problems that I have to pay to solve, to make it habitable and comfortable.
