To support the fertility of mares and stallions. -carotene is a precursor of vitamin A. As such, equinova beta-carotilyte can compensate for the high vitamin A needs of breeding horses and foals. By a targeted feeding of -carotene, the increased requirements for an adequate supply of vitamin A during the last third of pregnancy and during lactation are improved. Vitamin A is particularly important for a sufficient amount of colostrum and thus for the supply of nutrients to the foal. The vitamin A content of a foal depends on the content in the milk it absorbs, since a foal has no reserves of its own in the liver.
