Works when it wants to. Constantly have to clean it as clumping littler sticks to sifting mechanism. tried many different types of kitty litters. tofu or crystals seem to work best. the clay based litter will turn to mortar

This unit works so much better than the first one I purchased almost a year ago. Never have an issue with cleaning this one or even removing the scooping rake for cleaning
