Q&As

1 - 10 of 11 Questions

Q: Can be scattered on top grass? What can just scatter on grass thats hard to mow That will grow

1 Answer
  • AI-assisted
A: No, it is recommended to prepare the soil by loosening the top 1-2 inches before applying the seeds. After spreading the mix, you should lightly rake the area to cover the seeds and water daily for the first 2-3 weeks to ensure they grow properly. If you’re looking for something you can scatter over an area, options that tend to work better are ground cover or low-maintenance seed mixes, such as clover, no-mow grass blends, or similar cover crops. These are better suited for overseeding into existing grass and can establish with less prep while helping reduce mowing needs.

Q: How to plant wild flower and herbs to grow in my yard

  • A: I would recommend following the instructions on the back of the packaging. Prepare your soil by loosening the top 1-2 inches, evenly apply the seeds in the desired location, lightly cover the seeds, and then water daily or as needed to keep the soil most for the first 2 weeks.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEE IS A FRAUD!!!

A huge waste of money in Texas Hill Country. But what's worse is the lack of cusomer service. Don't believe their claim that they'll honor a 100% Money Back Guarantee. We bought two packages in May 2024. I prepared the ground per the package instructions and watered in the seeds per the instructions. We waited and waited and only a few weed-looking type flowers poped up. Then a neighbor told us that wildflowers take at least a year before they fully germinate and we should just be patient. May 2025 and we had nothing but the natural grasses and weeds we'd had before planting the wildflower seeds. I'd saved both packages and the receipt which I mailed off to Earth Science in May. Now here we are in July, 2 months later, and I've heard not one word from the company. Now I have no packages with proof of purchase and no receipt. The cost of the seeds is not a serious concern, but the cost of the water during a drought rate hike is. Plus the amount of labor involved for no gain is frustrating. But what boils my blood most is the lack of ethics and honor from the company. To claim a 100% Satisfaction Gurantee and not bother to honor it is FRAUD and I expect Tractor Supply to make good on this.
