Q&As

1 - 7 of 7 Questions

Q: When are you supposed to plant the seeds? Spring? Or fall?

1 Answer
  • A: We recommend planting the wildflowers in spring when the daytime air temperatures are consistently over 60 degrees. You can plant in fall, but you need to wait until it’s cold enough so the seeds won’t germinate (~ground temp 45 degrees).

1 Answer
  • A: Yes, you can mix the 2 seed mixes together. Please note that the deer and rabbit resistant mix requires 6+ hours of direct sunlight and the shady mix requires 4+ hours of direct sunlight.

Your patience will be rewarded!

It took a while but the results are incredible. I didn’t even sprinkle the seeds properly. I just opened the bag and poured them on the soil three years ago. Nothing happened much the first year, and the second year it was nice, but this spring all of a sudden hundreds of flowers sprung up from the ground. I am going to do this every spring from now on.
