Goldenrod fuel tank filters are ideal for farm and ranch, construction, service stations, light industrial, and recreational uses. Two distinct filtering systems are available- See-Thru bowl models with replaceable elements or Spin-On models with disposable canisters. Both feature heavy duty top caps with 3/4 in. or 1 in. NPT pipe fittings and include a gasket. Fuel flows from the inward port of the filter top cap through the paper element inside, which removes microscopic particles from the fuel. Clean fuel then flows up through the center of the element and out through the outward port. Change filter element or canister when fuel flow is restricted.

- For use with common fuels including regular and unleaded gasoline, diesel fuel, gasohol, ethanol, and various fuel oils; related additives including methyl, ethyl, and isopropyl alcohol; and biodiesel blends up to 20%
- Replaceable element removes microscopic particles of contaminants (rust, sand, dirt, scale, and lint) as small as 10 microns
- See-Thru translucent polymer bowl allows for visual monitoring of fuel flow, is alcohol and impact resistant, and stands up to harsh weather conditions
- Heavy duty zinc die-cast top cap with 1 in. NPT pipe fittings provides durability and an excellent bowl to top cap seal
- Easy-to-use sediment drain valve at bottom of bowl
- Maximum recommended flow rate is 25 gpm
- Gravity flow rate is approximately 5 gpm with a 24 in. head
- Working pressure up to 150 psi

Here is the information I received from our vendor- "Will it work and can it be done, the answer is yes, however, it is not suggested or recommended as the filter was not designed for this purpose. Contaminates and water will no longer fall to the bottom petcock as it is no longer the lowest point of the filter housing."3 years agoHelpful?

- A: Thanks for your questions! Yes, this filter can be put on the suction side, but it is preferable to put it on the other side. With the filter on the suction side, it is possible to create a vacuum that can keep the bowl from filling completely. Having the pump before the filter and pushing the fluid through will keep this from happening. As for your second question, this filter's top cap has 1" NPT pipe fittings.8 years agoHelpful?

Replaced old basic filter to my home fuel tank after I added a second tank that had 80 gallons left in it. Bottom fuel in tank was contaminated with I believe to be motor, filter/ separator trapped and blocked water and blobs of some material. Wish they offered 10 or 20 micron.

Purchased this unit to go on a transfer tank. Drain valve leaks / weeps. Would not purchase another one.
