The versatile 7/32 In. (5.6 mm) diameter Carving bit is made of high-grade steel for use on wood, plastic and soft metals. For use with all Dremel high-speed rotary tools, these high-speed cutters work well for detailed material removal in applications like shaping, carving, engraving, hollowing, precision cutting, grooving, slotting, inlaying, making tapered holes or freehand routing. The cylinder shape of the Carving bit allows for deep removal of material, cuts flat areas, round edges and makes stop cuts and V-cuts. The accessory tip makes flat bottom slots and grooves, flat side cuts, and makes V-cuts when held at 45-degrees.

  • Ideal for shaping, hollowing, grooving, slotting, inlaying, and making tapered holes

WoW! I can see this Bit lasting quite a while. Bites into Most materials with Zero Issue. Use on Resins, Plastic - takes down like Buttah. Wanted to get a special video of the 8260 in action with this special accessory. Apologies for Narrow view & possible sea sickness. Thank you again for making such high quality product I can trust in.

I can’t leave it alone

I recently started a new hobby, carving objects and small figurines. Even a very sharp knife, I cut myself three times the first day, does not make the work more than glacial. Enter the Dremel 196 7/32 In. (5.6 mm) Carving Bit. As you can see from the photos, there was a lot of material to be removed. The 196 was perfect for hogging off the bulk of the hardwood in the hat and the squared off top was perfect for defining the edges of the wizards cape. I will keep the 196 handy as I destroy more small pieces of wood in the quest for art.

A must have.

This bit is an absolute must for me. I'm glad I found this one. I have been doing a lot of step stools lately for friends and family. This bit helped me inlay the wood for personalization. Would definitely recommend to the personalizing people out there.

Just steel, but they do the job.

These are effective bits for de-burring PVC and copper pipe. I use these materials for small construction and art projects, where precision is important. I place the tool in my Dremel vise and slowly rotate the pipe at the proper angle to clean it up. I use high speed for copper, and a much slower speed for PVC. The cutters are effective, but not too aggressive if you manage the tool speed. After a number of copper jobs the cutters still cut like new, and I can see no wear. Good little tools!
