Gets hot fast. On off switch will melt causing problems turning on and off. Buy something better.

Sanding Pad Failed on First Use

The oscillating tool itself has worked well, but the included sanding pad failed the very first time I used it.
The hook-and-loop (Velcro) surface on the sanding pad separated almost immediately, so the sanding paper would no longer stay attached. As the paper shifted during use, it gouged the wood I was sanding and ruined the surface.
I didn’t think much about it at the time because I didn’t need the sanding attachment again for quite a while, and the rest of the tool continued to work. Now that I’m using it for another project, I remembered why I stopped using the sanding attachment. I’ve included photos showing the condition of the pad.

Dremel MM45 poor quality

I've owned two of the Dremel MM45 Oscillating power tool and both had the same problem. The tiny teeth that the blade attaches too, break off, making the tool useless. Either poor design or metal used for the teeth is poor quality. I'm a DIY person not a contractor, so tool is not used much. Would not recommend this tool.

The Dremel tool worked great fot my project. I know I can use it for other projects as well. I recommend this highly for cutting through steel bolts, and now I know how good it will do with my wood projects !
