Draxxin (Tulathromycin) Injection can be given to livestock as the first line of treatment against bovine respiratory disease (BRD). This injectable antibiotic is part of a subclass of macrolides called triamilides and is safe for use in swine, beef cattle and dairy calves. It's formulated to target 3 of the primary pathogens known to cause BRD. This livestock antibiotic is FDA approved and sold in 50 mL, 100 mL and 500 mL vials. How it Works
Draxxin is a sterile, ready-to-use injectable parenteral preparation that contains the active ingredient tulathromycin. This ingredient is a triamilide macrolide antibiotic of semi-synthetic origin.
Special Precautions

- Keep away from children.
- Not for use in humans. Only for animal use.

Side Effects
Draxxin resulted in some short-term head-shaking after treating animals with the recommended dose. In a field study, 2 calves showed signs of hypersalivation, and one of those calves also encountered dyspnea (difficulty breathing). The dyspnea could have been pneumonia-related.
