The DIG Button Drip Emitters utilize a labyrinth water flow path to provide a consistent flow rate from each dripper when subjected to an incoming pressure between 15 and 25 PSI, with higher discharge rates at higher pressures and lower discharge rates at lower pressures. These drippers are designed to be chemical and clog resistant, making them an economical option for systems with short lengths of drip tubing. To install a button drip emitter, simply punch a hole in the 1/2 in. drip tubing and snap the barbed side of the dripper into place, or use 1/4 in. micro tubing or distribution tubing to extend the drippers to the plants. However, it is not recommended to extend 1/4 in. micro tubing from the button drip emitter nipple to the plant area. To ensure optimal performance, it is highly recommended to use a 3/4 in. screen filter to prevent clogging and a 25 PSI pressure regulator to reduce the incoming pressure to the suggested operating pressure for a drip system. Drippers can be disassembled for cleaning if clogged.
