Handy light weight Knife

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the grip, the way it felt in my hand, made precise cutting with ease. I used the knife to install new carpet in my SUV. There were several places I had to cut for the third-row seat mounting legs. There also were places for large screws to go thru that required small holes cut threw instead of just a hole punched thru. The knife felt very comfortable in my hand and light but very sturdy.

Drywall or carpet installers dream knife.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a drywall contractor, as well as general remodeler, I am always looking for a better functioning knife. The first thing that caught my eye was the ergonomic shape and drop forward angle of it. This keeps your knuckles from having to drag across the material while cutting. Was immediately impressed by the distance you could keep your fingers away while maintaining a strong cut. The next feature I found extremely helpful was the large blade storage in the handle. It easily held 10 spare blades, quickly accessible with just a press of the release catch on the underside. An always appreciated feature in my profession absolute favorite feature, however, is the effortlessly smooth blade change. With most knives, there is always a hard to press release, or a hangup removing the blade, or reinstalling it, but this was hands down the smoothest, most pain free removal and a push-to-click installation that i have ever seen. Too marks on this knife, DeWalt. Its found a permanent spot in my tool belt.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Built Like a Tank, Cuts Like a Dream!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a really great knife overall! The first thing I noticed was the comfort of the grip. It fits perfectly in my hand with the sliding button lining up in the perfect spot. My thumb can slide up and down comfortably to retract the blade. I was also surprised by the smoothness of the retraction. I’ve noticed that with other knives the retraction is usually rigid and makes clicking noises when moving it. That isn’t the case with this knife. I can move the button smoothly without the blade sticking at all. I carried it around with me on a diy project for the past 2 weeks, and I haven’t been disappointed. I could easily swap out the blades without having to take the knife apart. It was as simple as a push of a button and the magnet helps line the blade into place. This thing also feels like a tank. It’s fell off of ladders, out of my pocket and hit concrete floors numerous times, yet nothing seems to be wobbly or slack. There’s almost no damage at all, just minimal scratches. I’ve cut numerous sheets of drywall with it and I must say that I was genuinely impressed. A sharp blade is very important when cutting drywall but it’s nothing if it’s not paired with a stable knife. I was able to make some very straight & clean cuts with this because it was so easy to move with this grip. I’ve also used it for cutting wooden shims, cutting fiberglass insulation, cutting flooring underlayment, and of course sharpening my pencils! I’m unsure if it was an intended feature or not… but the strike zone at the bottom of the knife also does a good job at pounding in nails that weren’t completely embedded. The only (and I mean ONLY) problem that I found with this knife is that when I’m wearing gloves I find it hard to open the storage compartment. The gloves are too thick to fit into the little lever area, but that’s a very minor issue. Other than that, I really like the design and quality of this knife. I’ll be using it in all my future projects and it seems like it’ll last me a lifetime!

Yes, I recommend this product.
