worst DeWalt product I have ever had

I have had many propane heaters over my life but this is unusable. There is no way you can use this heater in any type of closure even if vented. The smell of propane is so bad it can only be used outside. Yes all connections are sealed and tested so it is not a leak. I can open the propane bottle valve with the unit shut off and you can NOT smell any propane. Do not attempt to even light in a garage with the door wide open and the entrance door open since all you can smell is propane. If you run it for about a 1/2 hour the smell somewhat improves. I have had many cheap heaters operate without even opening a door for over two hours without smelling much propane. I see no way to use this on a construction site. Worst DeWalt product I have ever had.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Only for the hard of hearing!

The output is so so, the fan for the blower is very loud. I bought this to use on the lanai on chilly FL nights. I turned it on while company was visiting. After about 20 minutes it had to be turned off because of the loudness. I tried to move it further back but then there was no heat. So, I guess if you’re going to use this in an enclosed area there would be more benefit. Just remember you’re using propane and take precautions.
