Bought this product to update a couple of older solid wood doors

Cut two holes that needed to be enlarged from 1 1/2" to 2 1/8" to fit new deadbolt and made the job real easy. I can see where the bushings may need to be replaced as they do show a bit of wear. Used a 1" steel rod where the deadbolt was to centre the unit worked perfectly. Also used a C clamp to prevent the unit from coming off the door. Altogether a great tool

Overall did it do the job - Yes! It saved me time and probably a lot of frustration at the end of the day. I purchased the door lock installation kit yesterday. I needed to enlarge the opening for a new deadbolt. I was able to line up the tool, drill the hole and enlarge the opening. FYI - You have to be very careful as the saw drill can jam up as your boring through the door and kick back unexpectedly. You want to make sure you pause while drilling so you don't overheat / jam up the guide. (many reviewers commented on this). I did not have this issue however I did notice a lot of wear on the inside of the guide where the drill saw is inserted. Make sure you do not go all the way through the door as the saw teeth can cut away at the clamp holding it in place (maybe a little WD40 next time). - The option to set different door thicknesses (2) can be useful. Instructions on using the tool are hidden inside a flap on the label - not the greatest placement or very helpful. To Dewalt's product & marketing team update your instructions ... "please see the instructions that came with the lockset" .... are you seriously telling users to check the lockset instructions on how to use your product? Would I buy this product again - 60 /40

This tool is supposed to cut holes at 2 3/8 or 2 3/4 centered. The 2 3/4 is actually 2 11/16 so it's not accurate. I had a hard time fitting the handle. I do not receommend this product
