adequate power.. not what I would expect from DeWalt and for a 250 price tag. I think I should have bought and AC powered ... less pricey The box was open and the poles were sticking out of the box..I returned it originally because i did think the quality was very good .. not exactly what I would have expected from DeWalt.. but not too bad compared to lesser brands.Not very powerful ... don't buy the 20 volt battery model unless what you are trimming is lite to medium size.
