Keeping your gentle giants happy, this Derby Originals Superior Slow Feed Soft Mesh Hay Net is a great addition to your stable. A durable poly rope construction ensures this mesh net will last meal after meal.
- Made of a durable poly rope material that is resistant to breaking or tearing, as well as damage from UV rays, mold, or mildew
- Slow feed net designed to be extra gentle on horse teeth and gums
- 42 hay nets will hold approx. 3-5 flakes of hay, depending on the hay type and flake size, and how dense the hay is packed; rated to last the average horse about 30 hours or more
- Designed to have an opening size that will comfortably accommodate any type of hay, from orchard grass, to timothy, to alfalfa
- Testing has shown that horses prefer eating out of our soft mesh hay nets due to them being more comfortable long-term and not causing damage to the teeth and gums
- Net was tied by hand, so the hole size may vary slightly; average hole size for this net is approx. 2 x 2 in., which is the most commonly used and recommended opening size for slow-feeding the average horse
- Net opening will prevent excess hay wastage, while slowing down your horse's feeding rate to a more natural, grazing-style pace
