Giving 3 stars for now, company claims plants are separated with plastic/ rubber band. They are mixed in with dirt in the white packaging. You have to dump the dirt to find the roots and soak them in water to loosen them up and to find the rubber band. You definitely have to make sure you cut the rubber band before planting or it will suffocate the plants… Leaving this at three stars for now until I know for sure if plants are going to grow. And starting at three stars because it’s a little confusing and I should not have had to look up the product online to know how to use it.

Absolutely not

I really wish I saw these reviews before buying. I got a jar of dirt (!) and a disfigured wad of “roots”. Don’t pay $15 for this nonsense.

Strawberry plants are shipped in a dormant, bare-root state, which can sometimes look like a small bundle of soil with an uneven mass of roots upon arrival. While this appearance can be surprising, it is normal. Healthy bare-root strawberries typically have tan to brown roots and may include fine root hairs—even if they appear sparse—which are actually a good sign of viability.
