These boots smell like CAT URINE. They look, feel, and wear great. However, the first time they get wet, something in the synthetic sole changes chemical composition and begins to smell... LITERALLY like straight undiluted cat urine. My wife won't let me keep them in the house. So every morning I have to put on cold boots. The cold does keep the smell of urine down, until the heater in the truck warms them up. Then you have to sit in a truck all day inhaling CAT URINE. And Danner wants me to send em back for examination before they can warranty them. That'd be fine, except after spending almost $300 on a pair of boots, I can't afford to drop any more money on boots to have a second pair so I can mail these back. So, I'm stuck with these disgusting boots for now. Please, unless you're a 90 year old cat lady whose cats have died and you miss the smell of urine in your house - don't buy these boots
