Dalton SS-1H asphalt binder is an anionic emulsion designed for use as a tack coat for patching, paving, overlays and coating blacktop. SS-1H promotes adhesion to blacktop (bituminous concrete). It can be applied via spray, brush or squeegee and dilution is not necessary. Most all sprayers will work. SS1H Tack Coat is thin and has an approximate density of 8.2 lb. per gal. There is no aggregate in the material. The material will not clean up with water so a solvent will need to be used. Therefore the sprayer system must be able to withstand solvents to clean up.

  • Anionic emulsion for tack coat prior to paving
  • Comprised of asphalt, water, emulsifiers and surfactants
  • Do not apply when temp is below 55F within a 24 hour period
  • Apply materials as soon as possible after SS-1H binder dries
  • Coverage: 100 sq. ft. / gal.

I did not receive the 5 gallons of Tack Coat I ordered. I was shipped two gallons of crack filler. Had to return to store.
