Q: Is this used to soak carburetors to clean them
a month ago1 Answer
- A: Howdy neighbor! You can safely use Crown PSC 1000 Parts Cleaner to soak metal carburetor bodies, but because it is a mild mineral-spirits solvent, it will take much longer to dissolve tough, baked-on fuel varnish than a dedicated carburetor dip. Before submerging the parts, you must completely remove all plastic floats and rubber gaskets to prevent them from swelling or melting in the fluid. Once the soak is finished, you will still need to manually clear the tiny internal jets with a wire tool or a pressurized spray cleaner to ensure proper fuel flow.a month agoHelpful?
