Crescent chalk reels are feature-rich in order to make every pro's work easier. With a one-way refill valve and a quarter-turn removable top, filling the chalk reel is quick and clean. A one-hand hub lock keeps the reel firmly secured and the end hook slides securely into a storage recess, so it won't catch on other items in your tool bag. With a 6:1 gear ratio, retraction is fast, and the compound braided line improves chalk retention for well-defined lines, snap after snap.

  • Single hand hub lock allows user to stop line in place and snap lines with only one hand
  • Nesting end hook retracts into a nested position, protecting the hook from unwanted snags

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chalk box has some almost good feature but is all around ok. The plug for the chalk fill is not great due to the fact that it is hard to remove. A screw in with a gasket would have been easier. The hook hider makes it hard to pull the line out at first. Goon idea but falls short.

    No, I do not recommend this product.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best chalk reel I’ve ever owned! It’s very lightweight fits into the palm of your hand and it’s very durable at the same time. Most other brands are small and flimsy or big and bulky if they’re durable but Cresent managed to do both durability light weight and ease of use! It’s everything I look for in a tool! Cresent has yet again made a great tool!
