This measuring wheel is awesome. It's light enough to be able to do with one hand at all times if needed because it can also be reset with your holding hand/thumb. Great product and price point.

I use this Crescent measuring wheel to verify distances for fence installations, including fence length and post layout, as well as for concrete layout and general plot measurements. It performs well across multiple surfaces—mud, snow, grass, concrete, and dirt/rock—without losing accuracy. The wheel is easy to read and simple to reset, which makes taking multiple measurements quick and efficient. I also like that it measures both forward and backward, automatically adding or subtracting distance so adjustments are easy without starting over. Another big plus is that it’s collapsible, making it easy to store and transport when not in use.

After using measuring wheels for decades, and always breaking them year after year, this new one seems so much stouter than my current Milwaukee! As a fence contractor, we use our wheels daily over so many different terrains. This does exactly what it’s supposed to do, with no extra features to break. Has a very solid spline connection, that seems stronger than others.

The Crescent CMW12 12" measuring wheel has already come in handy several time at work for an electrical contractor. It folds for easy storage in a truck box or behind the seat. The 12 inch wheel rolls easily on most terrain and the counter is at the top of the handle making it easy to read and reset. We have already bought a couple more for other trucks. This measuning wheel seems to be made very well to hold up to every day use. A great feature is the fold out kick stand so you can keep it in a standing possition when you let go to write measurements or look at prints. I highly recomend this measuring wheel for both contractors as well as homeowners.
