[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this for a few different projects I was working on. First, I needed to figure out how much fence and landscaping materials were needed to enclose a backyard. To test the accuracy I used this product and then a tape measure to compare the results. This product showed about 10 feet difference compared to the tape measure over the total distance. To see why they were different I zeroed it and rolled it next to 10 feet of tape. It was about 1.5 inches different over 10 feet. When doing hundreds of feet of fence that difference can add up. Was it close enough for what I was doing? Yes. I was also contracted to trench new electrical service to a garage. This product did fine estimating the amount of cable needed. It was very handy because the trench was not a totally straight path and doing curves with this is easy. Some other things I like: The way it folds down into a shorter length makes it much easier to haul around. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the kickstand but it proved to be solid and not flimsy like I thought it might be. The only reason I took away a star is the difference in distance compared to a tape measure over an extended distance. For estimating, this product is good enough but if you want better accuracy you might want to find another method. With that said, I would not hesitate to keep using it for future projects.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This CMW12 Surveyors wheel helped survey distances that our typical handheld laser tape measurers could not reach. The surveying wheel is very lightweight and easy to use. The distance measures in feet and inches, and can easily be reset at the push of a button. This tool performed as expected and added an extra convenience factor for long distance measurements on flat terrain. I was pleasantly surprised at how the overall length folded in half to more easily transport in my car. The latching mechanism made it easy to fold/unfold.

There have been a few questions in my yard regarding measurements that I've been meaning to answer and this was just the tool to do it. It's light, it folds up nicely, and has a kickstand when you need to pause mid-measurement and resume what you're doing. It can easily be held one-handed and it folds in half with minimal effort or strength. I needed to know how long of a hose I needed to get to the farthest corner of my yard as well as find out how far away my fire pit is from any structure per fire code. Instead of fiddling with a tape measure that can't hold straight that far or just simply isn't long enough, this made quick work of both tasks allowing me to measure the fire pit from multiple locations with ease. It's an analog counter measuring in feet and inches. So there is no metric option, but a quick conversion on your phone will solve that problem if it's ever needed. It has one button to reset the counter. Otherwise you just move forward and it starts counting and if you move backward it'll count backward. So if you go too far or need to double back it will undo that if you keep contact with the ground. It's built well enough for the task it's designed to do. Unless you misuse it, it should hold up for a while. And I would describe it's accurately as good enough. I ran it along a tape measure across 20 ft several times and found it to be within an inch. But if you're using this to measure fence line (or in my case, a garden hose length) that inch is going to be irrelevant as you're probably going to buy something 10% or more longer than what you need anyway. I would recommend this product.

I like the handle read out rolls easily and a kickstand is super nice stood up on uneven ground I really like the fact that the readout is up on the handle so you can see it instead of down on the wheel like my old one checked it with a tape measure it seems very accurate
