Folding utility knife

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Handy utility knife that is comfortable in the hand, and has convenient built in storage for extra blades. Belt clip is a bit awkward, but is otherwise a useful tool. Blade need to be manually opened rather than a traditional switch lade type action.

Yes, I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Utility knife. Fits great in the hands. Clip works great for securing to a pair of pants. Nicely made. Only downside… the blade holder is weak. Blade will pull out at times when cutting cardboard

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good knife, but needs to be better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The CTKF3 utility knife I received to review was well packaged. Overall, the knife looks good, has a smooth action, and I like the look of the new designed compared to the old model (see pics). The knife itself works well when cutting. I put it to use during various work activities and it performed just fine. The knife allows for onboard storage of 3 extra blades in the backstrap which comes in handy for quick blade changes. When I compare the new design to the old, I give the nod to the older model. I could not open the knife while wearing gloves. I typically wear the thin dipped work gloves and I could not get a grip to open the knife. You'll see in the pics, there's less of an area to grab compared to the older model. As someone who wears gloves while working, this knife is the wrong choice for me. I feel like this particular thing wasn't well thought out when the knife was designed. The operation of the knife is exactly the same as the older model. One improvement is the CTKF3 action is not sloppy at all compared to the older model. The old model, you could sling the action open and there's a lot of play in it overall. New version has no slop, and requires you to physically open and close the action. Overall, the CTKF3 is a good utility knife. I like the new look and the improved action of it. Where I'd pass on it, as a pro, it can't be operated while wearing gloves. If Crescent could fix that, this knife would be perfect and that's why this product gets 3 stars.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great Utility Knife

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This utility knife is awesome in every way. I use it at work five days a week to break down boxes for recycling. The large handle insures a good grip with all my fingers wrapped around it. The metal casing will last a long time while the orange color lets me spot it easily after I’ve forgotten the last place I used it. Which brings me to my next point; the pocket clip works perfectly when I remember to use it. I especially like the way the handle flips open for fresh blades. The knife’s oversized safety release buttons can be used even while wearing gloves. I did have to spray some oil into the hinges and switches when I first took it out of the packaging for smoother operation but other than that, I have no complaints. A really good utility knife that will definitely help ease my work.

Yes, I recommend this product.
