Rated 4 out of 5 by from The girls will love these I purchased these to take a bite out of the cold next winter. My girls are getting a brand new coop, fully insulated with nesting boxes. I can't wait!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT INVESTMENT I bought this nearly 3 wks ago and the best investment I've made for my brooder. I've always used lights but 3 blew out while the panel stayed smooth and steady. Make sure to have good ventilation, it does put off heat, but not too far from panel. Will be recommending these before any other product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I sleep better not worrying about a fire I at first I attempted to avoid heat and just insulate. Most “experts” tell you not to heat. But in Michigan it just seems cruel. The hens were abviously miserable and stopped laying. I got a small 50w panel heater for them to sit on. They liked it but then we got real winter temperatures a couple of my girls got frostbite on their combs. They were still miserable. I got a heating lamp. Nice and cheap but just too dangerous. This 200w panel is perfect. Pretty warm up close but not overheating. The girls are happier and are laying again. this is s lot safer than a lamp and won’t overheat.

Does this have a safety switch if it gets knocked over?  If not, can it be mounted on an angle on the wall?

Asked by: lonewolf64
It will turn itself off automatically. The unit can be wall mounted, but it must be mounted flat against the wall.

How big of a solar panels will it take to run this heater can I use a 100watts system

Asked by: Mike Dennis
This heater does not require solar panels. This heater is a 200 watt heater and can not be adjusted to 100 watts.

Is this product used for chicks? Is it warm enough, heard they need to be kept at 95 degrees the first week and 90 the second week and so on until feathers come in. I pick up my first chicks in two weeks. Trying to order supplies in advance.

Asked by: tjvl
Cozy Coop is not designed to heat an entire room or space – it is instead meant to warm any animal who sits/stands right next to it. We would not recommend this for the sole warmth for baby chicks.
