Rated 3 out of 5 by from Most cost effective, but needs reinforcement I had read all the reviews for this blade prior to my purchase, paying attention to the people saying that it was easy to bend. I spoke with the people at the store about this and they stated that they "have been selling these for 30 years and NEVER had a problem." It seems that they haven't sold any of these for 30 years!! I bent the right side within an hour of using it. I have a 43 hp tractor and was grading a shallow ditch. I was watching it carefully for signs of buckling and caught it before it was severe. It didn't seem to catch on any roots or rocks, just looked like digging down was too much for the blade. The tractor wasn't even working very hard. A comparable blade is much more $. For me, I to weld some steel onto the back to strengthen it up so it will be able to take anything. I think I'll take it back to another store (I'm not near the one where I bought it), and see if I can get it swapped out, then reinforce it before the next use. So my recommendation is that if you can't handle welding on some bracing, then stay away from this blade, spend more and get something that's already properly braced. So I am not recommending this product since most people won't be able to do the welding.

We do not manufacturer a similar product with thicker steel than what is used on this product. We are not sure how to define the "thickest steel possible".
