Q&As

Q: Can this be used in a barn (where it can get dusty)?

1 Answer
  • A: Yes, you can use the CountyLine 30 in. 3-Speed Indoor Wall-Mounted Oscillating Fan in a barn. It is frequently used in multi-stall equine facilities and garages because it pushes a large volume of air (up to 8,600 CFM). However, because it is an indoor unit, you must ensure the motor is fully enclosed to prevent fire risks from dust and debris.Barn dust will accumulate on the fan blades and guards, which can reduce efficiency and throw off the fan's balance. You should clean it regularly using an air compressor or leaf blower

Q: What’s the step by step instructions to get it to stop oscillating?

1 Answer
  • A: To get your CountyLine 30-inch wall-mounted fan to stop oscillating, you need to adjust the thumb screw located on the oscillation rod (usually found at the rear of the fan motor housing) Follow these step-by-step instructions: Turn off the fan: For safety and to prevent the motor from straining, switch the fan off using the pull-chain or speed dial before making any adjustments. Locate the oscillation mechanism: Go to the back of the motor housing. You will see a small metal bar (the oscillation rod) connected to a clutch plate with a thumb screw on it. Loosen the thumb screw: Turn the screw counter-clockwise to loosen it. Do not remove the screw entirely. Reposition the rod: To stop oscillating: Slide the screw and rod assembly to the center (often called "Position B" in the manual).(Note: Moving the screw to the outer end or edge of the clutch plate engages the oscillation). Tighten the screw: Once the rod is in the center, tighten the thumb screw firmly clockwise so the rod stays locked in place. Test the fan: Turn the fan back on to ensure the fan head stays pointing in one direction.

Really moves air

Florida summers about 10 miles off the coast. Needed something in the garage to move the dead air and keep the gnats off of you while working on projects. Just installed and man does it move air. Two car deep garage, hits ever corner. No annoying flying bugs messing with you either. Time will tell if it holds up, but I did purchase the 2year extended warranty just in case.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Short lifetime

Worked great at first. We’ve only used it a handful of times. It’s not quite 2 years old and stopped working.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Decent fan

I like the fan for the price. It doesn't move as much air outdoors as I would like, but for the price it is decent.

Great product

This fan was purchased as a Christmas present for my husband. It was exactly what I was looking for and quite frankly was the best price for the product in our area. Tractor Supply in Wellington actually had one in stock!
