Q: Details say "Degradable Plastic Twine", while Specifications say "Biodegradable: NO". How quickly in Ohio winter weather does it last in contact with the ground and in direct sunlight (not sure which will degrade faster)?

1 Answer
  • A: This twine combines the unique benefits of sisal and plastic twines in one product. Lasts longer than sisal but will eventually decompose after exposure to the sun. It will last the same as other like twines when in contact with the ground. Beyond that , it is not possible to issue any statement on weather in a particular region as weather is unpredictable and constantly changing.

The best twine you can get

I absolutely love this twine, other than the color of it, hard to see in green hay. It has been good quality with no issues and it will break down if left in the sun after some time. I can't believe this is not one of the best selling round bale twines around. That said, I do not understand why Tractor Supply makes it so difficult to buy. My store said they can't get it, then they get some.

CountyLine Solar Degradable Baler Twine

CountyLine Solar Degradable Baler Twine is an excellent alternative to the typical plastic twine because it degrades, not leaving plastic twine all over your pasture to get caught in equipment. It also bales a lot more bales for the money.
