Q: How do I repot my ponytail palm that has 2 bulbs together each approximately 5 inches in diameter?

- A: Remove the plant from its current pot and squeeze the sides of the current pot to loosen the root ball. slide the plant out. Trim away any dead or rotting roots using clean and sharp pruning shears. Place the bulbs in the pot, make sure that they are centered and at the same depth they were in the previously. Fill in the gaps between the bulbs and around them with the potting mix. Press the mix down lightly to remove any air pockets and provide stability to the bulbs. Give the repotted ponytail palm a thorough watering. Watering helps settle the soil and encourages the roots to establish themselves in the new pot. Place the repotted ponytail palm in bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight immediately after repotting, as this can stress the plant. Keep an eye on your ponytail palm, Watering only when the top inch or so of the soil feels dry to the touch.2 years agoHelpful?

Nothing like what is pictured. I received a bunch of single stem plants the size of scallions. They were all combined into one rootball. It’s gonna take several years for it to look anything like the picture. Disappointing

I was not expecting the large tree displayed but simply the small plant in the first picture. What I received was about 7 small plants the size of spring onions/scallions lumped together in one root ball. Description says 5.5 inches and the root balls are not even 1 inch wide. Huge disappointment. Don't bother
