Q&As

1 - 10 of 12 Questions

Q: Can I spray this on ground in woods to kill ticks

1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! Yes, you can spray Martin's 10% Permethrin on the ground in wooded areas to kill ticks, but you must mix it with water first and keep your application at least 25 feet away from any natural bodies of water to protect aquatic wildlife. To get the best results, focus your spray along the perimeter where your yard meets the tree line, thoroughly treating the low brush and leaf litter where ticks love to hide. Because this is a powerful agricultural pesticide, always read the manufacturer's label restrictions and keep pets and children completely away from the woods until the spray has dried 100%.

Q: Can this be used in an atomizing type fogger that does not use heat?

1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! You can use this permethrin solution in a cold (non-thermal) atomizing fogger, but you must follow the specific dilution ratios on the product label for "space sprays" to ensure effective and safe application.

Q: Can this be used in a propane fogger?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi, Martin's Control Solutions 10% Permethrin is not labeled for use in a propane or thermal fogger and should not be used in one. This specific product is a water-based emulsion designed primarily for pump sprayers, misting systems, or ULV cold foggers in animal quarters; using it in a heat-producing propane fogger can be dangerous and may cause the active ingredient to break down.

Great for Clothing, camping gear, no petroleum

This is a great product! I have used it for many many years on all my animals. ALSO for those wanting a cheaper way to protect clothing and hiking equipment from ticks this is the non petroleum product that can do that. Just make sure you dilute it to the .5 % then apply like the other clothing products. No petroleum smell.

Mosquito season.

Bought this for my cottage and combatting the mosquito season. Going to spray in areas that we like to sit like the deck and fire pit area. There are companies that spray this diluted to entire property for mosquito season.
