First off , I am a gearhead . I love anything with a motor and I love going fast. With my background mainly being around 4 stroke dirt bikes and quads , old muscle cars / Hot rods and really anything with a v8 . I’ll be the first to say an electric car is a great alternative if you intend on having a short city commute and that’s it . They DO NOT replace their Gas equivalents. It’s like having a home cooked meal vs a microwaved meal. Just because it’s faster doesn’t mean it’s better . I have a background in Rc cars mostly being electric so I see the potential and possibilities in the architecture they have . With that being said I had both a gas bt200 and now the EV Variant both side by side in my Garage . Top speed stock for stock is exactly the same . Acceleration The EV win’s hands down . It reaches its limited top speed within a few seconds vs the gas equivalent taking nearly triple the time . Keep in mind I’m 200lbs . Both bikes brand new and tuned properly the electric bike just takes the W in my book . I can put my kids on the seat without fear of them burning themselves on the muffler ( wright of passage for many but my children are very small toddlers . I don’t need that ) in the end if all you want is straight line speed like it’s some sort of street bike then go get yourself a motorcycle . I understand someone out there wants to do 70 on their mini bike , that’s cool and all but as an adult with adult money I’d like to think most people buy these for utility / camping and the occasional neighborhood cruise. I am however a gearhead and if you want to modify this thing , it appears a programmable controller with a display , some proper wiring so you retain the lights etc you should see no problem getting close to 60 out of this bike as the current RPM is less than a 1000rpm and the motor will spin 5x that . The motor itself with a decent power source makes a beefy 70ft lb of tq with its ratings if my maths correct so there’s tons of potential in this thing . Buy it and enjoy silent hooning and dumb Karen’s from spoiling the fun

Minibike is awesome

Everything about this bike is excellent except speed. It definitely has torque and power but the 20mph governance is a letdown. Higher Quality than you may expect, Style & Comfortable, HERES THE ISSUE: Coleman should have made 3 different power modes and let you go at very least 37mph. Is there a link to a wire diagram?

In the past I have had a Baja big wheel and in comparison this Colman is amazing. It is quite powerful and amazingly quiet. Highly recommend so far.
