I mounted these solar cap lights on several pipe gates around the ranch to help light the gate areas and bring attention to there being a gate to navigate through, especially for delivery vehicles. The cap lights were easy to mount and appear to be decently durable. The light emitted is sufficient to bring attention to the gate but it does not shed much light on the gate area itself. The light is shed upwards and sideways and does not illuminate the ground around the gate. The light levels when fully charged are adequate but by dawn, even during the summer months, they have run out of juice. This is OK for my needs but I would not recommend these lights if you need a full 8 hours of illumination.
