The Centaur Quick End Wire Terminator for 12.5 Gauge Wire is a PolyPlus (non-electric) coated wire fence accessory. This wire terminator is a fast and easy way to terminate high-tensile coated wire at the end post. Simply strip 1 in. of coating from the wire, feed the wire through the Quick End, wrap around post and insert wire into the spring-loaded end to lock into place. This Centaur quick end wire terminator may also be used with White Lightning (electric) coated wire fence. However, Insultube (insulated tubing) must be used to insulate the wire wrapping around the end post to prevent unwanted grounding or shock. Get this wire termination tool to use it with 12.5 gauge wire.

  • Use a U-shaped barbed stable to secure the line from slipping down the post
  • Use of a ratchet tensioner on the opposite end of the fencing is still required with this quick end wire terminator
  • Note: Do not pinch the wire

Not first-time user-friendly

I got a handful of these to use on my PolyPlus and White Lightning horse fence. While they are great in theory, I had some issues with trying to install them. I messed up once or twice and needed to take the wire back out of the terminator -- it can't be pulled out the way it went in, instead, I had to cut the piece of wire and pull the piece all the way through and out. Any fiddling with it and the little metal teeth inside the funnel-shaped piece get dislodged and no longer "grip" the wire when it's inserted. Even a few that were put on the fence without any problems still had gripping problems and wouldn't hold the end of the wire. I wish they had come with some kind of instructional diagram because they're trickier than you would think.
