Stay warm, dry and visible in the Caterpillar Heavy Insulated Parka. The jacket has a two-way full front zip with double storm flaps and a beard guard. The outer layer is 100% polyester oxford, waterproof, windproof and breathable. The heavy-weight 100% polyester insulation is topped with 100% polyester quilted taffeta lining - yes, quilted - that's as warm as it gets. The CAT Heavy Insulated Parka does tend to be a bit on the roomy side, so you have excellent comfort and mobility. Cat includes a total of 14 pockets. 3 inside (including a covered and secure cell phone pocket), 2 underneath the storm flaps and 9 on the outside. The handwarmer pockets, collar and hood are microfleece lined for that soft, warm feel. The zip-off hood can be easily removed. Both the hood and waist have adjustable cord locks for a snug fit. The CAT Heavy Insulated Parka has adjustable cuffs with snap tabs and a hidden ribbed storm cuff to help keep the warmth in and the cold out. To help keep you safe in dim light and bad weather, Caterpillar adds 2 in. strips of reflective webbing on the front and back of the parka. I received my parka last week and am planning on buying another. It was on sale and I would have to say it was a steal. I have been in the freezing rain and cold and was comfortable and dry. I bought an extra large and it was just right for my frame. I would highly recommend this parka.

This coat is very warm. It has all kinds of zippered pockets Also, the flap over the front zipper keeps the wind from blowing through the zipper. The snaps on the flap, snap real easy too. It's worth the money. The reason I gave it a 3 is Zipper is plastic and extremely hard to zip.

SNAPS WILL FALL APART

Love the coat, warm, windproof, water proof and great pockets. That is the good.
The Bad: If you pull on the snap heads from the outside, the button detaches and there
is no way to put back on. Wore it 2 times, 2 snaps failed. One on a pocket and one on the front zipper cover.
They don't have or sell replacement snaps. To open the snaps, put your fingers on the inside of the flap and pull that way. Don't pull on the snap button itself.

This coat is incredibly warm and very comfortable. Just came out of the arctic blast here in the Midwest, tested very nice. Great for ice fishing as it has many pockets for lighter, fishing gear, cell phone, you name it. Sizes very accurate. If XL get an XL. Cuts down wind and water very effectively. Oversized zippers so you can zip with thinner gloves on. The person who designed this was definitely standing in the cold and said "How can I get warm?"
