I like the older version with the three smaller pockets on the right. The hammer loop is now on the right side instead of the left, which is ok but too small to get the hammer handle in, so it's worthless! The material seems lighter. On the positive side there is still protection on the pockets for measure tape clips, and the large pockets are much the same. In otherward they don't function as I would like, not sure if I would buy another pair.

Looks OK. Wears OK. Will probably last forever, if like my other Carhartt stuff. BUT. Definitely not a 'relaxed' fit. Closer to slim. And cargo pockets are so snug they're practically non-functional. I'll still wear it, but... ya know...
