The men's non-steel work boot's cement construction with an EVA midsole and PU (polyurethane) footbed provides a very flexible but durable platform. The D Rings that are at the middle of the boot - where you start the speed lace... they dig into your ankles really bad. There is NO padding inside to help with this. Also, that is right where the tongue crease starts, so it is a double whammy of irritant against your ankle. I thought I cold break them in by wearing them (toughing out the pain) but after about 40 hours of wear, I can't take it any more.
