Works great, easy install

So far it's been great. TS shipped the wrong size the first time, so check with your pickup store before you drive 100 miles to pick it up and then 100 miles to return it. Other than that, the product is great.

I purchased this for the purpose of a backyard outdoor shower. Running hot water from the house was impractical, given the distance. I did already have propane run to the back patio for a BBQ from an underground tank, and it was already regulated down to the proper pressure. Hookup was straightforward, but explanation of what the controls do was not! After some experimentation, I found that he lever on the bottom of the unit controls the inlet water pressure. The knobs on the front, labelled "power" and "gas" basically do the same thing. At full power, I can get water temps up over 120°, while on eco, it limits to about 105°. The gas knob adjusts the flame output (you can hear it raise and lower when turning), and thus adjusts the output temp as well. Again, why two redundant knobs, I do not know. One last caveat - I have a standard hot/cold mixing valve on the shower, and if I adjust the temp down, the heater detects the lower flow and shuts down. It then takes a while for it to restart, resulting in an unwanted cold shower! I've learned it's better to set the temp where I want it on the unit, then leave the handle in full hot position. All in all, a good quality unit, which does what it's supposed to do, with a few quirks.
