Great, inexpensive soldering iron!

We bought this soldering iron today to finish a job that another soldering iron couldn't do on a circuit board. What a great purchase. The max temp is 600 degrees, which is perfect for working on a circuit board. Heats up quickly and has a nice fine tip. Perfect for the money and the job!

OK for light work

Works alright to solder two small wires together or a wire to a terminal. Its not hot enough to solder heavier wires well. Better off with a 60 or 80 watt unit.

Good Quality for Price

Bought it to solder speaker wire because I figured I had to start somewhere. Well this novice can tell you the tip and build quality are worlds ahead of a similarly priced rig at your “less specialized” retailers. I’d buy another if I needed one or lost this one.

Yes, I recommend this product.
