Works great, so much easier than straps.

Even though it works very well for what I use it for, lifting boulders up to about 600 pounds, I only gave it 3 stars because the top arms were missing from the package. Rather than going to the trouble of return and reorder, I used a large link very strong chain to replace the missing lifting arms. The lifting hoop is attached to the chain with a centered link pin. This arrangement works very well because it keeps my tractor pallet forks close to the ground when moving boulders. In other words, the center of gravity for the lift is lower than it would be with the original lifting arms, always a more desirable condition when working with compact tractors and heavy objects.

Tongs are heavy duty and heavy to handle. Tend to be difficult to grab and difficult to drop stones. Actual transport was conskstently secure.
