extremely aggressive. Unsuitable for drillpress

Bought this a few days ago. Chucked it up in my drill press; The threads in the bit grabbed the work and pulled it off the DP table. Tried it again with heavier clamps and got the hole drilled. Had somewhat better luck using handheld drill. VERY fast, VERY aggressive. Very poor hole finish, and heavy blow-out on the back side. Good for construction use. Awful for woodworking.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Thank you for your feedback. The Bosch DareDevil spade bits are not designed for use in a drill press. We also have printed on the packaging: "do not use in a drill press". The DareDevil spade bits have a full cone threaded tip so the bit will pull itself into the wood, best for construction use. For fine woodworking we would recommend a Forstner bit as it provides a smooth finish and bottom.

i received one by mail and made all the better when adding to my origal set previously purchase.a co worker had told me about them.but to be sure i made my own test.what a result ,they work fast and last much longer.the secret is now out the secret is out u need to try it to beleive in it just go for it.
