I put this on tall cabinet and put the hoses out my window. It really puts out cold air! Works great for a small bedroom about 10 X 10.

This is the only compact, ultra portable true air conditioner (with compressor) on the market.  It’s only 5000 btu so it will cool a small room or personal space only.  So far it’s working very well, not whisper quiet but not loud either.

Blows cold air, good for small spots or areas to keep you cool.

The unit is very stylish and is great for cooling YOU and maybe someone next to YOU. It is rated at 1000 BTU/h, so please understand that it is NOT designed to cool a room, even a small one. However, if you are looking for a unit that will supplement a central AC unit that doesn't reach a particular room as well or an open space where you only care about keeping YOURSELF cool, this thing is perfect. It's very stylish and will go with any decor; it does not "look" like a portable AC unit. The unit does not use R134a; it uses R480 (propane), so please do not work on it unless you know what you are doing. It contains only 37g, so it's not a real danger, but precautions should be taken because it's still propane. The unit is very light and easy to move. Although it has two hoses, please note that this is not a dual-hose system (one that uses one hose for intake and the other for exhaust on the condenser). Both hoses are exhaust-only, so expect the unit to behave as efficiently as a single-hose portable AC. The unit dehumidifies well and is quiet (especially on Fan-only mode). I only wish the unit came with a remote. For those interested in using the AC in an RV, etc., it does not have a soft-start, so be ready for the 1200-watt surge before it quickly settles at about 300 watts nominally. The unit has three fan speeds on Fan-Only but two on AC; this is a bit misleading. When the compressor is running, the evaporator fan runs at "high" and "medium" speeds and saves the lowest speed for the Dehumidify mode to extract the highest amount of moisture. In my testing, the unit drops the ambient temperature about 15 - 20 degrees F at the vent, which is pretty good for a unit that is only rated for 1000 BTU/h.
