Berne Overalls are a cut above overalls offered by other manufacturers. Attention to detail, convenient and appropriate pockets, and a material that is both tough AND with just a hint of stretchiness to be comfortable all day, no matter the task. The suspenders have elastic, unlike a lot of other brands, which makes it easier to put on. And that elastic lasts. I have one pair, nearly 10 yrs old, and the suspenders still have a good bit of elasticity to them; makes getting them on all the easier. And unlike most others on the market ... and I don't know how they do this ... these are comfortable, as you would expect, in cool weather ... but ALSO when it's in the mid-to-upper 80sF. Dunno how they do that, but here in FLorida, it makes all the difference to me. Yeah, once it's above 90­°, it's hard to feel comfortable in anything but shorts, but these come closer than any other I've worn. And the lighter color (than, say, blue denim) reflects the heat better than most. The ONLY challenge I'd assign to Berne overalls -- and that is true for ANY brand of overalls -- is the sizing issue. NO, you CAN'T order your normal pant size!!! Fortunately, Berne has a convenient chart where you know your waist size (measure it, or measure a pair of pants that fit well), chest size, etc. For example, I normally wear 38x32 pants. I'm heavier than I've been in awhile, ~215lbs, and I've lost a couple inches since my younger years, so now I'm 5'10". Plug that into Berne's chart ... and it said I should get their 44x30 overalls ... and they were dead-on correct! When I first ordered overalls from Berne, I also tried the 44x32, and found them almost exactly 2" too long. TRUST THEIR CHART!!!!
