- A: Hello, thank you for your question. Per the vendor, "This particular product is a part of our “Hot Dipped” line. The entire square tub is dipped in a vat or molten Zinc, it reacts with the iron in the steel forming a series of zinc-iron alloy layers that completely seal the seams and protect the product from rust."10 months agoHelpful?
Q: Can it be used as a wash tub to wash clothes?

- A: Hello, thank you for your question. It can be used as a wash tub for clothes. Just note that because it’s metal, it may eventually show some wear or develop minor corrosion if exposed to water and detergents frequently, especially if left wet. Outstanding durable tub, great for watering your outdoor pets! Extremely high quality, no leaks! We previously had rubber tubs which turned very nasty with algae, no trouble with this galvanized steel tub!

Great Tomato Planters

I have eight of these and use them as tomato planters. I use a punch and a heavy mallet to puncture about 5-6 holes in the bottom of each for drainage (no small task these are very strong tubs) then place rock etc. at the bottom to assist with drainage, fill with good quality potting mix, using 4-tier metal square cages to support the plants as they grow. Very effective, and awfully cute on a patio.

Nice that it was available but the dimensions were for the top of the bucket and not the bottom so it was not quite what we needed
