Bare Ground Winter Calcium Chloride Ice Melt Pellets, in a 40 lb. box, is a powerful ice melter that generates heat as it melts tough ice and snow. It starts to work quickly and can melt ice and snow at temperatures as low as -67F. 4 years ago- A: There is nothing but calcium chloride in the box. However, with that said, the purity level of the calcium chloride is 94%. There will always be some stray components and other salts in the product composing the remaining 6%.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is this suitable for an in-ground pool to increase water hardness? Are there other ingredients in the product that are not good for pools? If it is OK to use in pool how many pounds should be used to increase a 10K gallon pool hardness 10 ppm?
